Team

It all started as New Jersey Raze, a team conceived by Erwin Ocasio in 2010 out of ZJ Paintball in Hackensack, New Jersey. The team comprised of eight members who gave it their all to achieve one common goal, to win. After one season Raze split up leaving most of its members joining other teams, others just quit paintball. Two members of Raze (Carlos Perez and myself) joined NY Storm Riders to keep playing competitive paintball, I lasted one season before deciding that I wanted to start a squad of my own, so I decided to give a re-birth to NJ Raze! After a few posts on PBNation I found two guys that were willing to give Raze another shot, and so we did, we picked up a few more players and started getting ready for our first season, which was not great. After finding myself in the hot seat (captain) again, I pretty much picked the brains of those who were in a similar position, asked them for advice etc... One particular person (who will remain nameless) asked why bring Raze back out and not something new, something you can call your own? I was like "Holy Sh!#" it's true, so I started brainstorming, tornados going off in my head and all and then BAM!!! It hit me, why not use the name of the website I was working on years ago... YES!!!! STOKED!!!! What other word can express the feeling one gets when they hit the paintball grid iron? And this is how STOKED was formed, of course after dishing out money for the Raze jerseys, I was how the hell do I get seven guys to give me more money? Lol, but they did. So after some cuts here and there, and new talent added to the roster STOKED is back, heading into our second season with twelve members who make up our 3 Man and 5 Man squads. The guys we have on our team now are some of the best guys I have met, we get along and we make it our business to keep this sport fun, or else We'll go nuts.
